Software studio · Nairobi
Novazury Labs builds focused apps for everyday life in Kenya. Know when the power goes off before it does, keep your car's full history, and stay on top of your job search, or meet someone new.
The apps
Each app solves one everyday problem properly. Same studio, same care, different jobs.
Power outage alerts
Get a WhatsApp message the day before Kenya Power's planned maintenance reaches your area, so you can plan your work, meetings and interviews around it.
Car costs and service history
Log every service, repair and cost. See what your car really costs, get reminded before the next service, and show buyers a history they can trust.
Job search tracker
See every application and where it stands. Get a nudge when it's time to follow up, so no lead goes cold.
Introductions for love and friendship
Browse people looking for love or friendship for free. When someone catches your eye, make your move: you're only introduced if they say yes too.
In the lab
Early ideas and prototypes. Some will ship, some won't. Tell us which ones you'd use.
How we build
Pay with M-Pesa or card, in KES. No dollar conversions on your statement.
WhatsApp alerts, light web apps that work well on mobile data, and nothing heavy to install.
Each app does one thing well instead of trying to be everything.
No ads and no selling your data. Your payments are how we make money.
About
Novazury Labs is run by Xavier Odhiambo, a senior backend engineer and SRE with seven years of experience building and running data-heavy platforms, from civic-tech tools used across Africa to SaaS products for global teams.
Every app starts with a problem we've hit ourselves: an outage that cut a meeting short, a car with no service record, a job hunt tracked in a messy spreadsheet. Then we build the simplest thing that fixes it, and we keep running it properly.
Questions
With M-Pesa or a Visa or Mastercard card. You get an emailed receipt, and the charge shows on your statement as NOVAZURY LABS.
No. Each app has its own pricing, so you only pay for what you use. Prices are shown in each app.
It's yours. We don't sell it or show you ads, and you can ask us to export or delete it at any time.
Yes, please. Email us the everyday problem you'd like solved. Some of our best ideas came from friends' complaints.
Questions, feedback, partnerships or app ideas: we read every email.
